Week Three Entry

  • Today we are focusing on using our mobile phones to create digital art. To me this idea is very bizarre, because I had never thought that you could use you mobile phone to create art. We looked at some really interesting works that had been created by using mobile phones, not only images, but also sound. The website was called, "Portable Worlds," (http://portableworlds.anat.org.au/firstedition/) this website shows many different works that have been created with using the applications on phones, such as phone cameras, or music programs....and so on.
  • The artists John and Mark Lycette created "Lycette Bros in 1997. Together they create a broad range of digital media including online and mobile interactive productions and animations." (http://portableworlds.anat.org.au/artists/lycette-bros.php) This website shows an interesting work that they created using the technology on a mobile phone. It is just amazing to see some of the things people can create by using their mobile phones.
  • I found it a little difficult to move my files from my phone onto the computer by using 'blue tooth,' so instead I worked on my phone by using the programs supplied on my phone. I used some different techniques on photo's such as; effects like: filters, style, warp and partial blur. i was also able to adjust the brightness, contrast and colour; and transform the photo and crop. With these techniques I had some fun testing what all the effects did to one-another.
