• Today we began working on Adobe Illustrator working with ‘text’, at first I found it very difficult but then as I began to learn how to work the program it was quiet ‘friendly’ to new users. I had developed some work through the lesson though unfortunately the computer ‘froze’ and I lost all the works. So in the last ten minutes of the lesson I developed a basic work, just to practice on my skills of using the brush tool and colouring components.
- This is a projection created by Jenny Holzer. It is called "Paris 2001," which is where and when it was done. It is a fabulous piece that really grabs your attention, the words that are projected over the bridge are; "L'ESPACE C'EST CE LIEU." It is mainly in black and white and I think that this is really effective and attracts a viewer attention straight away (http://www.jennyholzer.com/Projections/site/Paris2001/). Jenny Holzer has created many other projection works, many of them projecting words onto buildings or objects. I think is is a very effective way to get people's attention.
